Happy Friday

Faithful prayers develop faithful results

by Annettee Budzban
“ But they hastily forgot His works; they did not (earnestly) wait for his plans to (develop) regarding them.” — Psalm 106:13 (AMP)

I was running down my morning prayer list when I realized there were a few things that seemed like long-term prayers. One item I had been praying for longer than I could remember, and another has been about 12 years. I stopped and pondered: should I let them go? Should I just scratch them off my list and forget about my desire to see them come about?
But then I thought I couldn’t do that when my motto is “Never give up!”
Although, there have been times I have abandoned dreams when I realized they were not the right direction for me, there are many times I have seen things fulfilled with time and patience of waiting on God.
Right now we are in the midst of planting season. Any garden center you drop by is filled with the hustle and bustle of customers eagerly selecting the items they would like to see grow and beautify their property. There are a multitude of seeds that produce a variety of flowers all shapes, sizes and colors. Bushes and trees bearing blossoms or fruit can be selected as well. We don’t seem to have any trouble  realizing that depending on what we plant, it takes time for growth and development. Our flower seeds may yield quicker results than any young trees we plant. However, we understand regardless of what we plant, we must be patient until we see the harvest.
Many of our prayers, dreams and plans take time too. They sprout up at different times, just like the variety of things we plant in our gardens. We must realize some of our prayers will take longer to develop results than others. We can show God that we trust Him when we don’t hastily abandon a prayer request.  We must keep in mind faithful prayers will develop into faithful results.
