... Paul discovered this as did the other Disciples! ... and as did other faithful Christians down through the ages!
... when you take a stand for CHRIST, you are thrust aside ... you become labeled a "religious fanatic" ... a trouble maker because you offend non-Christians! ... a non-conformist!  ... if this offends you, so be it! ...
... Salvation is by the shed blood of Jesus Christ plus nothing I can do to earn or deserve salvation! ... Christ paid the price in full on that old rugged cross! ... our Hope is in HIM alone!
... you no longer fit in with the crowd ... people belittle you behind your back... even question your sanity!
... never mind that entire crowds go NUTZ at a ball game and at political rallies! That is acceptable ... even encouraged!
... Ed has paid a very high price indeed ... I have lost my only family ... my two brothers!  My wife has gone on to Glory (Marilee was saved)  ... I have no children or grand-children ... nobody ... no friends except a few Christian friends, etc.
... NOW, I COULD change everything ... all I have to do is REJECT CHRIST as the only way!  ... and take a stand that all roads lead to salvation! ... if one is a good person!
... this would make me very popular! ... I would be MORE welcomed even at churches and other social events ...
... I would be "accepted" by the worldly people ... I would become one of them!   God forbid!
... BUT we cannot serve both God and man ... we must choose who we are going to serve ... as for me, I will serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ .... and be satisfied in the knowledge that in the end,...  I win!
... "Trust and obey ... for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey..."
... YES, the COST of following Christ and standing firm is very HIGH!  I am willing to pay this price ...
... few are willing to pay this high price!  ... are YOU willing to pay the high cost of following Christ?
... for the few that are willing to pay the price, there is laid up for them a place in the Kingdom of God ... prepared for us by Jesus Christ, Himself ...!

PS ... if I have stepped on some toes, perhaps you need to repent and get right with your creator!  The term "Ecumenicalism"  is straight from the pits of hell ... it suggests that  you compromise your beliefs, I compromise my beliefs ... we meet some where in the middle and all is well!    as the late General Douglas Mc Arthur said ... "NUTZ"  (for me, GOD'S WORD it the only infallible authority ... not the pope, but JESUS CHRIST and Him alone) ...

letter continued...     When the Ministry "The StarLight News" was first started almost 13 years ago, I guess I was so wrapped up in doing the task that I failed to realize all those that were trying so hard to discourage me... Years later, a dear preacher friend would tell me that he had heard of me long before we met... Stories of the strange Southern Baptist Boy that talked with GOD... I remember smiling and telling him, "Not only did we talk, Sometimes GOD and I Argued"...
     Taking a Stand For JESUS is not the easiest thing to do and most times not the most popular, no where in the BIBLE can I find that once a person becomes a Born-Again Christian will all the problems they face disappear... No Where in the BIBLE can I find that Once a Person becomes a Christian will their life be perfect...  
     A lot of GOOD PEOPLE will spend Eternity in the Lake of FIRE, because they are so focused on the lies of the World that Good People go to Heaven, God Works Will Save You, I'm Rich, I go to church every time the door opens, or because they belong to a particular Denomination...

     SALVATION is not a Religion...
     SALVATION is a Personal Relationship With JESUS...
